MYC (Mid Year Conference) is the one week of the year that you shouldn’t miss!
Students from the Christian Unions at the five universities in Perth get together for a life changing time of exploring God’s word, singing his praises, and enjoying each other’s company.

The crux of Christianity: the universal symbol of Christianity is not a manger or a dove, but a cross – one of the most gruesome methods of torture and death ever invented.
For some, Jesus’ death is a turn off; for others, it’s just the basic stuff you leave behind in Sunday School. But in authentic Christianity, Jesus’ death is the key to everything – our relationship with God and with each other, our sense of ourselves, how we live, and what we do with our lives.
Come and enjoy a week with hundreds of uni students from all over Perth as we explore Jesus’ death through seminars, small groups, talks, and late night conversations over coffee and milo.
Come prepared to be changed, because Jesus’ death changes everything.

If you speak to any upper-year CU student, it's highly likely that they will strongly recommend MYC to everyone. Definitely worth going to!

Please note, WBT in week two will be held in room 105.107 (underneath the library), and the weeks after that will be back in 307.103 as usual.

The Gospel

Our public meetings start on the 2nd of March, looking at the Gospel... but what exactly is 'the good news'? and does Jesus actually make a difference in people's lives? these and many more questions are likely to be answered. To find out more, come along - the meetings are in room 307.103 every Wednesday from 12-1pm - and join us for lunch afterwards at the Main Café.

Beach Bash 2011

Calling all Curtineers. It is time for Beach Bash again!

This is a casual catch up to meet the CCU oldies and newbies alike. Bring your bathers and beach gear, and head to City Beach on the 5th March from 3 - 9pm, or any time in between. We're hoping to see beach cricket, beach volleyball, beach footy, beach whatever... and you!

Just look for the big CCU banner and Curtin Christian Union t-shirts towards the Northern end of the beach (around where the bbqs and playground are). Or, if you would like a slightly more precise idea - here is a map.

O-day

Students, stalls and clubs galore. O-day, the heart of startup week, will be back on the 23rd of February. Curtin Christian Union will there as usual. Come and say hi, grab an info pack and sign up to be kept in touch with news and events throughout the year. You'll find us at the top of the amphitheatre near the guild area - look out for our big banner and Curtin Christian Union t-shirts. See you there!

A matter of life and death

Life and death - they both apply to all of us. Ever pondered those big questions? - 'What is the point of life?' - 'Does my life mean anything when I die?' - 'What if death isn't the end?'...

Bring your friends and come along to a series of public talks during the next few weeks and feel free to ask those big questions of life and death.

The talks are from 12 - 1pm, in Watson lecture theatre 307.103 as follows:
