Events on campus

Curtin Christian Union runs many activities and events on campus throughout semester - there's always something great going on.

Wednesday Bible talks

The "main event" - it's the biggest activity CCU runs. It's a weekly event where we normally have a speaker bring a talk to us from God's word and then we stay afterwards to enjoy a few nibbles and have a chat. Often students make their way to the Main cafe afterwards for lunch. Anyone is welcome to attend the Wednesday talks, all you need to do is turn up on the day.

Wednesday Bible talks this semester:

The talks start on the Wednesday of week 1 (2nd of March) and they run from 12 to 1pm in room 307.103 (Watson lecture theatres). Semester 1 2011's topic is: 'The Gospel - The difference Jesus makes'

'Grow'

Formerly known as 'Training', Grow is a great opportunity for us to develop ourselves - by receiving some experienced teaching aimed at equipping us for sharing the good news with others and serving God. Topics that have been covered in the past include engaging with Islam, explaining the Gospel to your friends, and an overview of the Bible. As well as a main topic, there are several electives to choose from.

'Grow' this semester:

This semester the main topic is 'God: the Gospel, the globe and you'. The electives are: 1) Questioning evangelism 2) Engaging with Islam & why
are there other religions?

Grow will run on Monday nights at 6pm - location details will be available soon.

1 on 1s

You can meet up 1 on 1, usually with a senior student or a staffworker, to pray, explore the Bible and discuss what it means with each other. It's a great way to get to know not only the Bible, but also yourself, better.

1 on 1s this semester:

If you're interested in taking part in a 1 on 1, talk to a staffworker or a senior student, and they'll help you work out who you can see and when you can meet with them.
